HKW Architects designed a new 6,700 square foot Early Childhood Learning Center facility for Raintree School in Town and Country, Missouri. The Center’s program is rooted in the Reggio Emilia educational philosophy, which focuses on enriching the experiences and self-guided learning that occurs within pre-school aged children. The Center will house 4 discreet classroom spaces, a lunchroom and kitchen, and an art room. The design embraces the principles of Reggio Emilia through strong visual connections between interior and exterior environments, views and openings between interior spaces and the use of materials in a direct way that describes the relationship between building components.
