HKW Architects helped Restoration Saint Louis save $1 million by creating an innovative design to construct a 700 car parking structure in just 7 MONTHS. The entire Project took only 9 MONTHS, saving nearly 3 months of construction time.
Eight, twelve foot wide by four story tall, pre-cast concrete panels were placed in a variety of combinations to create the wall of the garage along Westminster Avenue. The panels are load bearing and serve as the foundation wall for the structure, eliminating the need for forming and pouring foundation walls. The scale of the panel design and its resulting variety supports the surrounding residential neighborhood. The neighbors are pleased with the appearance and with the smaller size of the openings along Westminster.
