New City School’s Multiple Intelligences Library is unique in that it is designed to serve students with a very wide variety of aptitudes, or “intelligences”. Based on Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences, this library isn’t just for reading, it’s a place to experience the connections between ideas through visual, spatial, and physical interaction. It is a place for exploration and discovery that sparks curiosity in the way it is shaped and the way it can be experienced. It supports individual and group learning with a wide variety of places to sit, meet, and work. Or just relax with your favorite book.
